Deluxe 3LP set documenting the first activity of acclaimed electronic musician JD Emmanuel, including recordings from 1979-83. The cyclicity of Emmanuel's patterns and phrases refers to the minimalist traditions of Reich and Riley, but his music has little in common with the purely mathematical; improvisation coloured by his interests in jazz and the temporal expansion of rock jams, he charges harmonic sections with spontaneity and freedom without boundaries.
